He frowned at seeing taking her time tending to his wound. Wondering if it was time he turns his head to look at Ling Qi’s reactions to his questions and lets out a fatherly laugh.

“What is wrong Ling Qi? Not afraid of showing him to me? Don’t worry I’ll let him come in one piece….mostly.”

That thought made her smile, remembering the one time a servantgirl had walked in and seen it. The poor girl had dropped the tray in shock, expecting the feared warrior to roar in anger at the woman before him, perhaps even hitting Yan. After all, it seemed everyone, even his officers were afraid to speak up against the great warrior.
