The Exchange is a place where players may try their luck and increase their gold. The minimum amount to enter the Exchange is 500 gold. Players may wager from the minimum of 500 gold, to the maximum of 2000 gold.
Once inside, the player hands the Exchange attendant the desired amount of gold they wish to risk.
Players can win or lose up to 50% of their stake, or break even. So on a 1000 gold stake, they could come away with as much as 1500 gold, or as little as 500 gold.
Also, since Exchanges tend to attract a lot of people (not just players), there is a small chance of contracting an illness. If this happens, the character will be bedridden for two days.
When gambling at the Exchange, it counts as one work day. This means no work or training at one of the schools for 24 hours. This is in effect for all players.
Players can wager a stake up to five times in a 24 hour period.
RP is permitted in the Exchange, but only if you are actually entering to stake a bet. This is not a general RP area, it is something that was added to make it a little more realistic. General guidelines on RP are in effect (as in no RPing in two places at once).
You do NOT have to RP if you don't want to. You may simply come in with your gold and request to gamble.

If you wish to RP in the Exchange, please indicate so in your initial post. Otherwise, it will be a simple increase/decrease of gold.
