As per the previous announcement, as of today (8/2/09) the Pillage and Master Thief rules have been tweaked slightly.
Only border cities are allowed to be pillaged.
Free Officers have been given the ability to pillage (if they have the skill).
The capture/escape rolls have been left as they currently are.
The skill descriptions have been clarified.
Please see the rules thread and skill shop for updated rules.

As we have recentely found ourselves under staffed in certain areas we have set up a Staff Application thread under the feedback board for people to apply at. When applications are in staff will look at them and then decide which applicants will be hired.
Also the thread will not be removed even after people have been hired but will be left open and untouched as it will be something we will look at in the future whenever we find ourselves understaffed again.

Thesituation regarding Xin Ye and Xiang Yang has been decided to continue as it is. All participating members are advised to send turns into lu lingqi. there aremore details posted up in the battle threads for the mentioned cities in a battle which you are advised to read over and follow accordingly.
We do offer our apologies to those who have had to wait for this to be resolved.

As I'm sure some of you have already noticed, we have a few new additions to the Staff. We'd like to formally announce the hiring of Zhang Baiyan and Ma Chao, and the return of Xing Cao. They shall be helping out with battles and payday as well as other things. So congratulations Zhang Baiyan, Ma Chao, and Xing Cao. ^^

The staff has started S5 development/discussions. We are in the very early stages, but we are now on the track of making sure we prepare the game for it's next step.
If you want to track the progress, just pay close attention to any topic with 'Suggestion #(number)' as its title. The number is a vague idea of how far we are (we discuss multiple suggestions at once).
At a later point in time, we may decide to divulge a 'sneak peek' of S5, where we'll give bits of info every week. Stick around to see what we have in store

Thanks goes out to Deng Ai for helping me with payday today. I was trying to update battles and do payday at the same time and when asked Deng Ai was happy to step up and help. Thanks a lot.

From here on out if a liege is missing their payday after 24 hours have passed from when it should of been due the liege can perform there own payday. The information on how to do it is already located in the rules. Anyone caught doing it ahead of time or giving themself extra bonuses through it will face punishment at teh staff's descretion. Will edit with links to the threads shrortly that has the information for you to use.

I know a lot of you are confused about what's been going on with the staff lately so we're going to explain it as simple as possible (if you want more details feel free to pm me). So here it is, 5 Days ago Gan Ning took it upon himself to fire every member of the staff.
For this and other actions Gan Ning and Xiahou Dun have been dismissed from the staff and hereby are not allowed to ever be staff members on this site again. Further punishments may be applied to those who were involved in this recent turn of events.
Several of the older staff members have been asked to return to the staff to help reorganize the site and get everything back on track. We apologize for everything that's gone on, and please bare with us through this difficult time.

Due to the overwhelming numbers of staff members and regular site members are in favor it doing so, Season 4 will come to an end without a winner.
In addition, there will be no rewards given out, and everyone will have a week to RP your character's fate.
Please be patient with us and we will be getting Season 5 ready as soon as we can. Thank you for your cooperation.

If you are in a battle please note that all battle are no longer taking place giving the recent events. It is because of this you are assumed out of battle and you can rp to finish off your characters storylines and events as you see fit.

First we were lenient and allowed Gan Ning and Xiahou Dun to remain on the site. However after erasing all maps for cities of all sized templates for the game which was staff data they have been permanentely banned and will never be removed effective immiediately.
Because of there actions we are going to have to apologize but the next season is going to be delayed because of it as we have to remake the maps.

Okay so it seems some ofyou are being unable to edit your own profiles and such. If that happens simply PM Jesse,me,Ranger Ryu or Will, as it means you need to have a membergroup assigned to you since all the force membergroups were removed. Apologies for any inconveniece this causes.

In Order to test out the duel system with a minor change made to it and to give you guys some entertainment while waiting for the next season a duel tournament is being held. 32 members can participate in it with the sign up thread located in the duel board.
Also for a little reward the winner gets a +5 war item for the next season, this is because we haven't handed out end of season rewards but we may as well present the possibility to get one or two items anyways through other means for fun. Got about 7 days before sign ups close, i may extend it.

As I'm sure a lot of you have noticed, Hyperboards was down for about half the day, to make up for that I'm going to extend the turn due date in the Event Battle another 12 hours, hopefully this will give everybody a chance to send in their turns.
