Zhuge Jin enters the corridor leading to the council chamber. His footsteps echo as he moved closer, the fire-lit torches along the walls casting dancing shadows.
Zhuge Jin stood several paces away from the center of the room. He looked about for Zhang Xi.

Bent over a table studying several sprawled documents, Zhang Xi was informed of Zhuge Jin's arrival. This eased Zhang Xi's current worrries, for governing the state had become a great task indeed.
"I am happy your travels were safe. Let me pay you due honor by granting you this seal which entitles you as Civil Official of Yi."
Xi holds out a jade seal which bares a tiger emblem upon it.
"I know you will help to make this country a state worthy of the classics."

Walking through the city had brought to Xiu's attention that it was still in its baby-stages. Not many people roamed, most of the streets were quiet, but at the very least, things remained calm. She was granted some unique looks on the way towards the chambers, however. No doubt seeing a woman of her stride and age carrying weapons and armour was a foreign sight.
Tying her horse at a nearby stable, Xiu Bai approached the council chambers. She was directed to the main hall, whereupon she was asked to remove her bow and quiver. Reluctantly, but silently, she relinquished her weapons, and was motioned forwards.
Waiting for acknowledgement, she passed the few seconds by memorizing the positions of key aspects in the room, a talent she had developed during her childhood days hunting. As an archer, one must rely on keen eyes above all else.

When Xi was informed of this women's arrival he was more than intriged. For such a warrior to come from distant quarters was a welcome event. As Xi approuched Xiu Bai he gestured in respect to the stranger.
"Welcome to this humble state. I am Zhang Xi, governor of this district. Let me ask, what brings you here to Yi? I was told you sought my counsel."

When approached, Xiu lowered herself in custom to one knee, paying the appropriate respects to the man of authority.
"My name is Bai, from the Xiu family. I seek a means of both employment and purpose. While not from this region, I have traveled here from Yong An for ... personal reasons." She paused for a moment, unsure whether or not to divulge what drove her to make this decision, for it was a matter of trust.
"While nothing of a dictator, or a politician, I have been raised in a family of warriors and I come to offer what skills I possess for your cause."

Xi looks to Xiu Bai and sees a couragous warrior, young and spirited. He was delited to have such a person come into his midst.
"Heaven must smile upon this endevour, to send me a warrior like yourself. I am honored to have you among my ranks. Take this seal, it is proof of your new rank as Military Official of Yi."
To Xiu Bai, Xi gives a jade seal with the emblem of the tiger. He then bows in respect to his new vassal.
"You should explore Zi Tong, get to know our people. I hear the farm workers are in need of a helping hand."
With that Xi returns to his duties of governing Yi.

"Already those of great ability are drawn to the potential you show, Lord Zhang Xi. It was said by Lu Shang that the sage-king attracts the worthy with his character."
Zhuge Jin made his way towards the exit. "I will take my leave now, my lord."
Zhuge Jin leaves the Council.

"My name is Zhai Quan, I am here seeking nothing less than glory in battle. My only wish is to defeat the strong, I wish to join an army with this ability. I do not come alone but also bring spoils from battles in my past, this slave, his name is Kai Shei."

Xi examined the warrior before him. His marital prowess was blatantly shown across his cold grimace. Such a person would be a great asset. "I am Zhang Xi, Lord of Yi. I have come to found this small state, but yet have heros such as yourself under my command. Heaven sent providence brings you here. I give you the office Military Official of Yi. Here, this seal is proof if your new authority. The guard will be informed of your new rank. Speaking of such, I know the walls are in a sorry state, you should lend your aid to the workers who are in the process of strengthening them.". Xi gives Zhai Quan a jade seal baring the Tiger emblem. He then returns to his duties.

As Lan Se Long enters the council he passes an officer coming out.
"Looks like I made the right decision by coming to this city, my skills could definately be used to their potential here. I can feel as if they're liege is someone who is more than capable of the title given to him."
After thinking to himself Lan Se Long awaits in the center of the council for Zhang Xi.

Zhang Xi couldn't believe his luck when informed of yet another stranger's arrival. He walks over to the man and gestures in respect, saying, "Hello fine sir, I am Zhang Xi, Lord of Yi. I am honored to make your aquaitance. Let me ask, what brings you to this small corner of the land?"
